As I recently posted in my Ten on Tuesday post, I don’t think that Valentine’s Day has to be about mushy, lovey-dovey, romantic love. We celebrated Valentine’s Day by hosting a dinner at our place for my Mom and a friend. It was wonderful to spend a fluffy, heart-filled night with people we love. The meal was mostly prepared by my husband, but the (store-bought) heart cupcakes and the hand-drawn heart of balsalmic glaze on the salad plates was provided by me.
