If you have read this blog for any amount of time, you know this… I love bulldogs. Those smooshy faces, those wrinkles. I just can’t. I had been looking forward to this session with an english bulldog, Lola, for months. A little over a week before the session, I got a message from Carolina with heartbreaking news… Lola was in kidney failure. It came on suddenly and unexpectedly. Although she was 13 years old, Lola was a healthy young pup. She had been a part of Carolina’s life for years and years… since before she met her husband, since before she had her baby boy. We were able to move Lola’s session up and I traveled to New Jersey to capture their family, to document their love for Lola. Only six days later, they had to say goodbye to their dear, sweet Lola…
