Karen + Mike’s engagement session wins a prize for the most hilarious outtakes. Let’s just say that Mike had some creative ideas… they may or may not make their way onto the blog. Ha. Until then… enjoy some sneak-peak worthy images…
Philadelphia portrait and pet photography
Kristi and Doug met back home in Minnesota and after four years of living long distance, finally get to live together in Philadelphia as she finishes grad school. Next year, they’ll ring in the new year with all their friends and family in Minnesota, and a first kiss of 2012 as husband and wife. A few days ago we were blessed with an insanely beautiful fall day to document their time in Philadelphia… and it doesn’t get much more Philadelphia than the Art Museum. The best part is not the Art Museum itself, but the grounds around it. Bonus = stunning fall colors + drool-worthy light + a gorgeous couple!
This was one of the first shots of the session. Total naturals…
A few weeks ago, I was asked to speak at Urban Outfitters in Philadelphia about my pet photography. Every Friday they invite a different professional in to speak on a topic that may interest their employees. I was thrilled to be invited, especially when I heard that THEY GET TO BRING THEIR DOGS TO WORK. Every day. Not just on special occasions. Every single day their dogs can accompany them to work, hang out at their desks, and visit with their other office doggy friends. I was tempted to grab an job application on my way out. After explaining a little bit about myself and how I do what I do, we headed outdoors to the courtyard to grab some shots of the pups… Below is a sample of the mega-lovable puppy faces!
Jen + Tom wanted to do their engagement session on South St in Philadelphia. Not only because it’s a fun place to shoot, but because we could visit the tattoo shop where they got their first tattoos together, only six weeks after they met. Love that. And love them…
Last weekend, Megan + Anthony said ‘I do’ on a chilly November day. But they didn’t mind the cold. They had other things on their mind. Like getting to see each other for the first time on their wedding day on a helipad. Yes, you read it right… a helipad. You’ll want to stick around for that…

Jen - Love these! But I have to say I’m more excited for the outtakes because I can only imagine what Mike would’ve wanted to do haha
Karen - Love the pics April! It was so great working with you. Can’t wait to see the rest of them, especially the outtakes ๐
Erica Jones - These are great, Mike just told me about the one where he is peering out from behind a tree looking at Karen. I’m sure the rest will be just as good.
