Little 9 day old Owen was tiny and sweet. Between the smiles that he was flashing for the camera and those long, beautiful eyelashes (why are baby boys always blessed with the most amazing lashes?!?)… I was swooning. I’m excited that I’ll get to see him and his big sister Emma several times this year since he’s part of my Baby Plan. I can’t wait to get to see him again at 6 months old! Camera Basics Workshop | February 21, 2016

Do you have a DSLR camera and want to learn how to get better photos? Are you tired of trying to read confusing technical manuals? This is a perfect solution! Camera Basics is a beginner’s photography course that will teach you the basics of photography and how to confidently use your camera. During the three hour workshop, we will also be doing some hands-on exercises to give you the chance to practice what we learn and ask questions. Each participant will receive a 50+ page workbook and access to a private Facebook group for further questions after the workshop.

Topics include:

– Tips for better photos
– Intro to exposure (aperture, shutter speed, and ISO)
– Camera modes
– Overview of lenses
– Composition and perspective
– Finding the light

montgomery county baby photography | bryce, 7 days old

This baby boy was scheduled to have a December 17th birthday. But he had other plans. Bryce decided to surprise everyone on December 14th and come a few days early! I was excited to get him into the studio for his newborn session before Christmas. And since Bryce is a part of my baby plan, I’ll get to photograph him again this year at 6 months and 1 year old. I’m thrilled to get to document this sweet baby boy’s first year!

NEW YEAR, NEW STUDIO!

I’ve hinted at this announcement and now it’s finally official… I have a new studio space! This is something that I’ve dreamed about and planned for years. Despite the planning, it’s a big step. A huge step. And something that I’m immensely proud of.

The studio will be used primarily for photographing newborns and cake smashes, though I do have a few other fun ideas in the works. It’s located right on Main Street in Collegeville, PA. I’ve shot a few sessions at the new studio and I am loving it already. It’s so nice to have space to spread out, an organized way to display my props, and even a little kitchen for clients to have snacks and drinks during the session. And that big front window… A dream.

So while the space is very bare right now, I’ve only moved in the basic necessities, I wanted to share a peek at the new photography studio…
