1. How did your parents decide on your name?

Although they were married in April, I think they just liked the name.
2. Do your initials (First, Middle, Last) spell out anything fun/funny?

AMZ. Not so funny.
3. Did you take your middle name from childhood or did you take your maiden name as your middle name? (If unmarried, what do you plan to do?)

Kept my middle name from childhood.
4. Are you or will you name your children thematically (ie. same first letter, all of same origin…)

While I can’t say for sure, I’d guess no. We’ll likely just choose names that we like, when the time comes.
5. Did you decide on baby names as a little girl? Did you stick to them or change your mind?

Not at all.
6. Does your family have any names that have been passed down through generations?

Nope.
7. Do you look at the meaning of the name or just the name itself?

Not really, but if the names that we like happen to have a cool meaning, that’s a bonus!
8. Do you name pets with human names (Sally, Henry) or with pet names (Fluffy, Mr. Bo Bo)?

We (mostly I) choose girley human names… Riley, Chloe and Lucy.
9. Are there any names that you have an affinity or dislike for based on a childhood experience/someone you once knew?

None that come to mind, but perhaps some will come up when we discuss names.
10. What are some of your favorite names? Why?

We’re not even to the point of thinking about this yet.

  • Amanda Young - I like how you sound almost mad at the questions this week. 🙂 Like “DUH, I SAID WE WEREN’T TALKING ABOUT IT YET.” Hahaha! You’re too cute! Have I mentioned I love your Ten on Tuesdays? I feel like I know so much more about you now!

Last weekend was a beautiful weekend for a winter wedding. Anne + Dave got married at Old St. Mary’s and then celebrated at the Ballroom at the Ben. Below are just a few from their day…

  • Andy Lane Chapman via Facebook - gorgeous, can’t wait to see them all!

  • Emily - Loveeeee that bouquet and how you displayed it. Beautiful work as always.

I often think that I have some pretty rad clients. But it was confirmed when I received this thank you gift from Megan + John, whose wedding I shot last fall. COOKIES?!? Oh yes. But not just cookies… a cookie cutter set of doggy shapes. I can’t wait to make some dog bone shaped sugar cookies! Thank you Megan + John for making my week!

  • Emily - how thoughtful and SUPER adorable!!!

As I recently posted in my Ten on Tuesday post, I don’t think that Valentine’s Day has to be about mushy, lovey-dovey, romantic love. We celebrated Valentine’s Day by hosting a dinner at our place for my Mom and a friend. It was wonderful to spend a fluffy, heart-filled night with people we love. The meal was mostly prepared by my husband, but the (store-bought) heart cupcakes and the hand-drawn heart of balsalmic glaze on the salad plates was provided by me. I think we may have to make a tradition of this…
