Michelle is one of the wonderful women that I’ve met through HeavenSent Bulldog Rescue. Her dedication to the rescue is remarkable. She’s constantly taking in fosters to house them until they find their forever home. One of the pups in this session, Winston, is a foster and you can tell that she loves him as if he were her own. I had a blast running around the backyard with these five, though the Sesame Street song “One of these things is not like the other…” constantly ran through my head. You’ll see what I mean.

Love me some bully back rolls…

One of my faves… Winston waiting patiently to come inside…

  • Nancy - The lab looks just like my Sammy! I love it!

  • Nick - I am always amazed at the energy of those who can foster so many and so often! And with so many bullies I can see why you had that song stuck.

  • Sarah - the Winston picture is one of my all time favs of yours
    its awesome.

  • Jennie - this is the photography equivalent to a slam dunk

This little guy is beyond cute and  is one of my favorite stages to work with… sitting up on his own but not yet mobile enough to run away from the camera!

Seriously funny expression. Clearly he’s not a big fan of grass….

  • isabel - I adore the first picture 🙂

  • Misty Dawn - Love Love LOVE the first and last ones! Awesome! He’s so stinkin adorable.

  • Concetta - I love those blue eyes. With all the green they just stand out like crazy! What an adorable little guy:)

  • Mary - I mean really, could he be any cuter if he tried! Awesome pics, love those blue eyes!

  • Allison - Look at that little guy’s eyes! Adorable pictures!

  • john...of johnwairephoto - good schtuff april. predictably…i’m a big fan of the b&w 🙂

  • Meredith Perdue - Love these, April! You’re totally rockin’ the 35, aren’t you?! Awesome job!

  • Kristen Nichols - Those Cheeks are insane! beautiful shots!

  • Sarah - i love the originality of the shots, very cool, but very your signature. great work.

  • Jessica Wright - These are wonderful. Great captures he is a doll!

Here is Butler’s birthday shoot! Butler is a powderpuff chinese crested, though he looks completely different from the chinese crested that won “world’s ugliest dog” last year. It’s interesting how two varieties of the same breed of dog can look so different. Butler is a spunky ball of fluff. I love when you can tell that a dog is happy just by looking at him. Jen is quite smitten with him too, and it’s not hard to see why…

You can see Butler’s slideshow by clicking HERE!

Butler was so well-behaved. He made my job easy…

F-A-V-E!

We all know that I love dog tails… Love this. I like how the texture of his little puff tail is different from the rest of his wavy hair…

And something processed just a little different…

  • Tish Mackay - I love the vintage feel of the last pic. What a cute pup!

  • Barbara B - Love the expressions you captured. They are wonderful dogs!

  • john...of johnwairephoto - great series april. were you rocking the new 5D-Mark II ?

  • Emily Beaty - These are awesome!! I LOVE the b/w and the processing on the last. So cool!

  • Jennie - These are ALL wonderful. I think, if pressed, I’d have to choose the one of her and her mommy. Fabulous April 🙂

  • Meredith Perdue - Happy Birthday, Butler! SO CUTE!

  • Nick - A very unique looking fella 🙂 Happy barkday to Butler 😀

  • Allison - What a face! These are awesome April, love the slide show 🙂

  • Amanda Carlson - LOVE the last one!

  • kelly g - Love that last shot. LOVE the processing! Great job!

Meet Sam. He’s a sweet and energetic yellow lab mix. And though he’s eight years old, he doesn’t seem to have grown out of his puppy stage. Maybe that’s the lab in him…

Or maybe it’s the fact that he gets to live with four kids! Meet Sam’s family. They’re cute kids… take my word on it…

See? I told you…

And, there’s only one thing I have to say about this…..

HOT!!!

  • john...of johnwairephoto - …and here i thought you didn’t like family shoots 🙂 can’t wait to see more!
