Here are more wedding images from my very first wedding. I posted a few here, if you missed them. The details are some of my favorite parts of a wedding. Particularly, rockin shoes…

The rings were securly tied to the ring bearer pillow. Perhaps a little too securely tied. This is Dina, working to get them loose…

I love this shot of them in their own little world…

Beer toast instead of champagne… Love that…

It has been about 9 months since I started this blog, and I recently noticed that it was approaching 1,000 comments. And I fully intended on celebrating that milestone with you all… but 1,000 comments came and went faster than I realized and now we’re closer to 1,100 comments than 1,000. So let’s celebrate that.

THANK YOU to all that stop by and leave me some blog love! It honestly does brighten my day to hear from you. And if you’ve never left a comment, here’s your chance to do it today! The 1,100 commenter will win themselves a $20 iTunes gift card as a small gift of my gratitude.

Update:Β  The 1,100th commenter is Heather! Thank you all for such wonderful comments… I feel lucky to have such amazing clients, friends, and family.

This is a groundbreaking day for Monster Monday as I introduce our first video post. The video itself is… well, not so groundbreaking, but it’ll give you an idea of what we come home to each day. Be sure to turn on the sound for this one! I don’t believe that it does justice to the loudness or shrieking quality of Lucy’s barks but it’s a start. Be prepared for many more videos of Lucy and Chloe’s antics, coming soon…

  • Rebecca - Oh my GOD she is SO adorable…if only Dash’s barks were cute like that…Lucy’s barks are like an “I love you mommy I’m so glad you’re home I missed you let me out!” Dash’s are more blood curdling.

    Cute video. Post more!!!

  • Bernadette - OMG, she is too cute! I want to eat her up! I love the snarf at the end of the video πŸ˜‰

  • Vanessa - Lucy is just too adorable….that is similar to what I come home to also!

  • Melissa - Oh goodie! Did you get a flip? YAY!

  • Tish Mackay - Not sure what I love more – the video or the video of the pups responding to it. I can’t wait to show my pups tonight when I get home. πŸ™‚

  • Pam Scherzer - LOL! could be exponential! OH! we might be trending !

  • sarah - god i love lucy πŸ™‚

  • Jules - OMG she is cute- I just love the eyebrows πŸ˜‰ My dog didn’t budge until the last snart and then she growled – too funny! The video response is cute too, where did Mo get that adorable collar????

  • Scott - Miniature Schnauzers have a very distinctive bark, and they’re not afraid to use it to greet you when you get home.

We have 3 now, 2 since they were puppies and a 10 year old we recently rescued and we wouldn’t trade them for anything!

    Scott

  • Christy - Cute!

  • Michelle and the bullies - I just listened to this and rocked the house LOL!! 6 sleeping dogs all ran to the door πŸ™‚

  • amanda - LOL you should have seen the mayhem that ensued here when this started playing. I’ve never seen dogs stare so intently at a computer before. You’re right, she would definitely beat Dash and Penny. πŸ™‚

  • Katie Cipriano - Soooooo Funny! You should have open posts…I will send you some funny ones of GENO STEAK! You told me about this barking but I had no idea!

  • megan v - I LOVE HER!!!! Charlie has a ear piercing bark as well. I turned the sound up and Bentley was concerned as to what was going on. πŸ™‚

  • kara - Haha I just watched that and Isabelle stared at my computer like WHAT!? And then she kept turning her head from side to side.

I met Duke’s parents at an event and I was ecstatic when they contacted me for a session. After all, it doesn’t get much cuter than a bulldog PUPPY! Duke was one of the most cooperative subjects I’ve ever gotten to photograph. He was so intrigued by the camera. I knew it was going to be a good shoot when this was the first shot…

The next image is one of my favorites…

  • Stephanie - Hey look great! I can’t wait to see the rest of them. Thank you.

  • Jess Kamm - He is adorbale, fabulous images!!!!

  • Christine - Awesome pictures! Duke is adorable and that first shot is fantastic!! πŸ™‚

  • Christy - I just had a feeling Duke was going to be a bulldog when I opened the link. Dan used to have a English bulldog named Duke too. πŸ™‚

  • johnwaire | photo - wow april. i think this is my favorite sneak peek so far!!! awesome job.

  • Pam Scherzer - beautiful! especially love the first one !!!

  • Tish Mackay - I love the first shot – he loves your camera!

  • Jules - WOW he is cute . . .I think he may have some modeling in his future πŸ˜‰ He seems to love the camera! Beautiful work!!

  • claire - holy cow all three of these are gorgeous! i love that background print in the first one

  • Emily Beaty - Duke is a cutie! I love these!

  • Heather Fowler - I love these. I really like the 2nd one. One of your best images yet! I am a little biased being a bulldog lover myself.

  • Zoe - Aww, he reminds me of a smaller, different colored Jewels, underbite and all!

Mary contacted me to get some photos of their bulldog… totally my thing… Out of curiosity I just counted and Lilly is the 11th bulldog that I’ve gotten to shoot this year. (The 12th is waiting on deck, you’ll get to meet him in tomorrow’s blog post.) Oh yeah, and she wanted to get some shots of her three teenagers too. Teenagers. I admit that the thought scared me a bit. I imagined loud-mouthed, uncooperative teens that thought that getting their picture taken was lame but begrudgingly agreed to cooperate under threats from their mother. As soon as I met Mary’s family, I breathed a sigh of relief. They were totally awesome! And sweet. And agreeable with all my silly ideas. I loved it. Thank you guys for sharing a fun morning with me!

Do not look closely at the graffitti. There were some very artistic drawings of male anatomy that I didn’t realize until after we started shooting there.

Meet Lily. She happens to be deaf, which proved my typical absurd noises and squeaker toys that I bring to shoots worthless. But it doesn’t seem to affect her in the least. She happily trotted her way around the park, tongue hanging out the side of her mouth in her standard adorable fashion…
