A photo session that includes two yellow labs AND an adorable 5 month old baby boy? Yes please. Do you know what makes a great Christmas gift? A surprise photo session. Chris surprised his wife with a pet photo session of their two pups:  Charlie, a berger picard, and Bella, a german shepherd. Haven’t ever heard of a berger picard? I hadn’t either. Apparently they are a rare french breed of dog. Both girls were beautiful dogs and very well-mannered… there’s nothing I didn’t love about this session.   • Beth - Gorgeous! What a smart and wonderful husband getting a portrait session for a gift.

It’s hard to believe that it was almost exactly a year ago when we did Owen’s newborn session. The difference?!? It’ll always amaze me how babies can change so much in one fast year.  Since outdoor options are quite limited this time of year, we headed to Ott’s to take advantage of the beautiful greenery + warm indoor temperature. It was perfect. And then back to my studio for the most fun part… the cake! I absolutely love one year old photo sessions!

Happy Birthday Owen! And Jeff + Teresa… congratulations on surviving the first year!
