I swear, there are some dogs that I photograph that actually look like they’re smiling in photos. Maybe it’s not an intentional smile, but I don’t care, it makes me smile back. Below you can see Porterhouse and his radiant smile. Does your dog smile?

I photographed Leslie + Charles’ engagement session at the art museum back in 2010. And then their wedding at Villanova University + Greystone Hall in 2011. So I was completely thrilled when they asked me to be their newborn photographer as well. To continue to document their family. Nothing makes me happier than to get to share in these important moments. And to get snuggle sweet little babies with cheeks like this is a huge bonus.

For some reason, the photos from Jack’s pet session never made it to the blog. So today is the perfect day to share this happy little beagle face. I absolutely love photographing beagles. Their expressions, their ears… I can’t handle it! Despite being nine years old now, Jack still has a spunky puppy energy and a doggy smile that’s just contagious. What? It’s hard to believe that two years ago we were headed to the Outer Banks to see Trisha + Aaron get married in a beautiful beach wedding. They are now expecting a baby girl, who is due in about two more weeks. Their anniversary is on Sunday, so I’m wondering if she’s going to try to steal their thunder by crashing their anniversary. Trisha was already almost 37 weeks when we did their maternity session and she has the most perfect baby belly. I usually recommend doing maternity photos at around 34 – 36 weeks, since after that point many women start to feel large and uncomfortable (I’ve been there, I know) but Trisha was a total trooper, hiking her cute belly all around the park. I’m so happy that they took the time to document this time in their lives, before they become a family of four, and I can’t even wait to photograph baby Ella when she arrives…
