Being a Philadelphia pet photographer, a good amount of my clients are pet lovers even if they don’t hire me specifically for photos of their dog. I LOVE when clients include their pups in their engagement sessions and weddings. Holly and Brad included their pug Ziggy in their engagement session. But nothing could top when Ziggy the pug got to walk down the aisle at their wedding, looking particularly handsome in his bowtie!

Would you include your dog in your wedding or incorporate them somehow?

This is the third time that I’ve gotten to photograph Jess + Rich and this time was special because it was the newborn session for their new baby boy, Jackson. I met Jess + Rich back in 2010 when I photographed their engagement session and their wedding at the beautiful Fernbrook Farms. And as I mentioned before, I am always thrilled when my past wedding couples contact me with news that they’re expecting a baby. But I was even more excited to hear from Jess + Rich, because I knew just how long they had waited and wished and prayed for this baby. I loved getting to capture them as a family of three.

You’ll see more of Jackson on the blog soon, he is a part of my Grow With Me plan which means that I’ll photograph him as a newborn, six month old, and one year old!

It’s no secret that I love boston terriers. So when I get to do a photo session with not one, but TWO boston terriers… well, it doesn’t get much better than that for this pet photographer. Phoebe and Blackie are both rescues and since they’re approaching ten years old, their owners wanted some photos to capture them and their funny boston personalities. It was quite warm the day of their session, so we even did some swimming to cool off…

One of the things that I love most about family photography is getting to see my clients’ families grow and change each year. I photographed the Hiller family three years ago (holy… how has it been three years already?!?) and loved working with them. I mean… an adorably squishy toddler and a lovable little french bulldog? What’s not to love? I couldn’t wait to see them again for their recent session and see how much they’ve changed. For the record, Chase is still adorable (though not quite as squishy) and Shelby is still as lovable as can be…
