I had a good time hanging out with Renee and her pups on a chilly Sunday morning in Philadelphia. I don’t at all mind shooting in the winter… I load up on warm coffee on the way there and bundle up… Sometimes the pups even come bundled up… ๐Ÿ™‚

Sadie…

Baxter…

And Renee, looking beautiful despite the cold weather!

Last November I photographed the Groarke family and their yellow lab, Samson. This November, they were awaiting their new addition… She’ll make an appearance on the blog soon. ๐Ÿ™‚

  • ashley folkema - Ooooo…..babies!

  • Emily - love this!

  • Krista - I met Colleen on Wednesday! She’s beautiful and I can’t wait for you to photograph her!!!

She’s our first pet “together”. We got her back inย a time when we lived in a small, 1-bedroom apartment. I remember when we first got her she was tiny, timid, and skittish. After two moves, the loss of one pet, and the introduction of two more… she still is. Which is why you don’t see much of her on the blog… she’s a loner. We’ll often find her in the spare bedroom following a patch a sunlight, on our bed nestled under any clothes she can find, or one of her favorite spots… the windowsill…

  • Cathie Randall - She’s darling….

  • Sarah - she could be Moo Moo’s sister! i love her.

  • Loki - she’s beautiful! =]

  • ashley folkema - Love this one!

  • Emily - Love her name! ๐Ÿ™‚

As I was preparing Holly’s order, I realized that I hadn’t blogged more photos from Ziggy’s session. And that’s just not right. So here are a few more for the pug lovers…

He likes to be held like this. Honest.

I had to post this because this shot is SO pug!

I have dubbed this shot, “King of the Mountain.” Doesn’t he look like a lion up there? P.S. Don’t tell him that his harness makes his neck look fat. He’s sensitive about that.

  • sarah - i laughed out loud at the eyeball photo ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Becky Serpe - I love him!! I hold bentley upside down just like that! I want to see his whole slideshow!

  • Alexis - These are great! Pugs are so weird, I love them ๐Ÿ™‚

  • ashley folkema - Oh my goodness! Look at those little bug eyes. ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Emily - Oh how I love pup head tilts! The first one is so cute! Definitely King of the Mountain in the last one… beautiful images!

  • Jill - ohh haha I love pugs so much! April I totally want you to capture my family..make a trip to Canada?

  • claire - that last shot is great! and yes, he definitely does look like a little king ๐Ÿ™‚

There are 500 dogs and 500 cats at the Pennsylvania SPCA that could use a little happiness this holiday season. And you can help. The PSPCA will be collecting donations of chicken, white unflavored rice, unsalted tuna, toys and blankets for dogs and cats, and fresh veggies for small mammals. Donations can be dropped off at the address below or non-perishable items can be mailed. Holly Russel from the PSPCA designed this adorable flyer to announce the event and I’m excited that she chose to include my photo of Sheba! Every little bit helps and these animals sure deserve to have aย happy Christmas morning… ย
