While in Jamaica, we saw very few dogs. But we did make friends with a few Rockhouse cats. They weren’t so much strays as they were residents of the resort. And that’s not such a bad place to live. They seemed to roam the grounds, strategically positioning themselves near the restaurant during meal times and taking shelter in the caves during the brief afternoon rain showers. They were sweet, and patient, and immensely grateful for any milk that was discreetly lowered to them at breakfast or shrimp that were accidentally tossed their way at dinner. They must remember friendly faces. They would periodically stop by our villa to see if we something more appetizing on hand than bottled water and Red Stripe. And yes, I had a favorite… I named her (him?) SimSimma BeanieCat…

I met up with this family last week and we had a blast running around and playing. And while little C was not too keen on having his photo taken (playing with his toys was much more interesting, which I can understand), I am pretty excited about this shot that we captured of him. He looks so grown up here… less of a baby, more of a little man…

And since we took these photos shortly before the Phillies won the game that sent them to the World Series… I am posting this in hopes it gives us good luck for Wednesday’s game! Go Phillies!

And one of my most FAVORITE couple shots ever. I drove past this field on my way home a few days before our session just as the sun was setting. The light was so beautiful that it took my breath away. Light will do that to a photographer. 🙂 I knew that we had to shoot there. Tommy and Debbie gave me an even better shot than I imagined. And the groom, who was SO awesome even when the torrential downpour started not five minutes after we began shooting. He didn’t worry about the rain at all… he was getting married to his beautiful bride, rain or not.
