I swear, I’m blessed with getting to photograph the smileyest (I think I just made up that word) babies. Kiley just turned 1, and I’m so glad her parents decided to do a session to capture this sweet stage in her life…

Today I received the fabulous news that April Ziegler Photography was voted 2nd place in the ’09 Best Pet Services and the best pet photographer! Woot! I’m humbled by this acknowledgement, particularly in my first year in business. But mostly I’m thankful… because this recognition has nothing to do with me and everything to do with you all. I’m thankful for such amazing clients, such encouraging friends, and such a supportive and loving family. Thank you.

  • becky serpe - Would it be completely biased if I voted for 5, 6, or 7?? 🙂 The ones that catch my eye are #19, 28, 38, 51, 67. I think those ones show off the “april” style – i love the vibrant colors and the composition of them!

    #1 or #46 since kind of simlar setting, #18, #44, #48
    shots with people – #60, 61 & 65
    I am no help – maybe you should get more than one large
    I also loved the shot of Riley on the grill (maybe not appropriate for your event though)

  • Anna - The pointing border collie or the Boston Terrier on the chair.

  • Allison - I also love the “pointing collie” However, if you are looking for a more commercial look I would choose #12 or #25!!

  • mary - of course I think 47 is the cutest! That is my baby 🙂 However I think 49 is awesome, my favorite..what a sweet face and LOVE the bulldog drool! Oh and 36, he looks so sincere and loving 🙂

  • Tish Mackay - 19 or 61 are awesome – but so are all the rest. So hard to pick just one!

  • Julie - My favorites are 18, 19, and 28

  • Emilee - I can understand why this is so difficult for you, April, as all of these images are FANTASTIC! 🙂 The ones that stood out to me the most were Chloe on the patio chair (#19, I think) and the hilarious pointing Border Collie (don’t know the #). Any photo that you choose is sure to be a hit! 🙂

Jack is the nephew of one of my past clients and is such a sweet baby. I am so flattered that his parents decided to schedule a session while they were here in Philadelphia visiting all the way from Newfoundland, Canada. Jack is a natural in front of the camera, as soon as we started he struck this GQ pose, hand on the hip…

Happy baby + sweet light = pretty rad photo…
