Last weekend, the heat wave we’ve been experiencing here on the East Coast broke… leaving us with some cooler temps, much less humidity, and yummy, yummy light for Megan + Anthony’s engagement session. We had a fabulous evening… lots of laughter, a few glasses of sangria, and ice cream for dinner. All in all, a successful engagement session. Oh, and we took some pretty pictures too…

Love every. little. thing. about this image…

  • ashley folkema - April – The lighting in the last one, stunning! What a beautiful couple!

  • Tina - Love love love that last one! Talk about amazing light! Can’t wait to see more:)

  • Meredith Perdue - Ah! That last one is incredible, April!! Yay! Happy Friday!

  • claire - the light in that last one is delicious!!

  • Melissa DeJong - Love the light on the last shot! Awesome picts April!

Vinny is the pug cousin of one of the first pugs that I’ve ever photographed, Bentley. In typical pug fashion, Vinny was adorable for the camera, even though we were challenged with oppressive heat+humidity at 8am. 8am?!? Can you believe it? There’s no escaping the heat these days. Smooshed face dogs don’t do too well in the hot weather, so we took a few breaks and retreated to the air-conditioned house or car for some relief. And after a few minutes of recharging, Vinny bounced right back to his model self…

  • Stacey - Awe, I so totally love the composition of that last one.. and such a crystal sharp & adorable face! And on the bed, so sweet.

  • Stephanie - I’m in love with the first two shots. So cute April 🙂

Last weekend, the husband and I decided to end the holiday weekend with a fun, little trip to New Hope Winery. I have been wanting to visit for awhile now, ever since I found them on Twitter. Give them a follow if you want to keep up with the fun things going on at the winery. They often host live performances from local musicians… wine + live music sounds like a pretty perfect evening to me. We did a tasting, and left with a bottle of Chambourcin Reserve, Riesling, and White Sangria. They have a fabulous variety of wines… from dry to the sweet, fruity wines… so there’s a little something for everyone. Below are some photos from the winery…

  • Shauna (Fido & Wino | R.O.A.R. Squad) - Those shots definitely make we want to go there (+ the fact that there is WINE there… ;))

  • Stephanie - And can you imagine how amazing that place would be for a wedding reception ?!?
    love the pics April 🙂

  • john...of johnwairephoto - …now i’m thirsty!

  • AmandaD - Fun place & great photos!

  • Allison - those are great photos! Think I would fit in pretty well there 😉

  • Nancy - Nice pics! And it’s great to see you in front of the camera!

  • claire - looks like you guys had a fab weekend. i’m jealous!

  • ashley folkema - Fun! Looks yummy! 🙂

Megan + John met briefly freshman year at a dorm party. Through the years, they got to know each other while both playing soccer at Philadelphia University. Senior year, they became neighbors… and their relationship went from a friendly loan of the vacuum cleaner, to dinners together, to something that they both knew was much more. It was perfect that we were able to do their engagement session at the school where they met and fell in love. And include another of their loves… their Yorkie pup named Chewy. You can see some of my favorites from our session below, but click HERE to see their slideshow!

F*A*V*E!!!
