At our session this past weekend, I learned that having a Bernese Mountain dog is possibly the best icebreaker ever. We couldn’t walk anywhere with someone stopping to question Donna, commenting about TJ, or wanting to pet him. TJ is the most sweet and calm dog I’ve ever met. His owner Donna described him as a gentle giant and that is most certainly the truth. At one point there was a crowd of at least ten people around TJ and he didn’t seem to mind a bit, he soaked up all the attention. He must be used to it. TJ spends his days as the company mascot for Donna’s fabulous floral and design company, Beautiful Blooms. He greets customers and brings smiles to all at their Northern Liberties store. Stop by if you can, it’s simply stunning. And it’s a huge bonus to get to meet this guy…
FAVORITE! Some bonds don’t need much of an explanation…

This past weekend, I did a session with Dexter… an energetic English Setter. Dexter LOVES to run, in fact, just the day before Tim and Dexter placed in a two mile Doggie Dash race. Dexter was definitely up for more running on the day of his session. So we met at a park where he could run off leash to his heart’s content (or at least until we got sick of the bugs and busted it out of that field)… the photos of that will be coming up.
Tim purchased the session as a birthday gift for his girlfriend, Leslie. What a sweet gift! She was thrilled about it. Leslie told me the story of how they came to adopt Dexter from a rescue and it’s hard to believe that that anxious and scared pup is now this handsome guy…
I love his spots…

Meet Chloe. She has to be one of the happiest babies in the world. All smiles and coos. Jodie and Brian are very, very lucky. And I was lucky to meet her when she only 2 weeks old…
And you know I couldn’t leave without getting a shot of the cat… 🙂
I like fun couples. I like fun couples that choose a rad location for their engagement photos. And I really like fun couples that choose an even radder location for their wedding! Rachel + Chris will be saying ‘I do’ on the beach in Jamaica in 22 days. And I can’t wait to document their amazing day.
Here are a few of my favorites, but you have to check out their slideshow… click HERE!!
Beaaauuutiful light…
FAVE!
They grow up so fast, don’t they? Today, Lucy turns one year old. And I have to admit, I’m kind of sad about it. My puppy is no longer a puppy. I’m tempted to keep counting her age in months, as they do with children, so that I can hold on to that puppyness just a little bit longer. Yesterday we took a birthday trip to the pet store for Lucy to pick out her present… so tonight we’ll celebrate with treats and gifts (that Chloe will inevitably try to steal to open herself) and hopefully some birthday photos. I’ve been too busy to shoot my own girls recently, so I’m posting an old favorite of the adorable birthday girl…
