On Friday, I arrived home to a warm-weather themed picnic, prepared by my husband and set up in our living room. A little something to hold us over until the warm weather is a reality. I’m pretty sure I won the lottery in the husband department. On the menu:

– Mixed greens topped with goat cheese, raspberries, pine nuts, and a balsamic glaze

– Olives (including my fave: garlic stuffed!)

– Avocado summer rolls

– Crab-stuffed portabella mushroom

– Pasta salad

– Wasabi-encrusted tuna

– Beer of his choice for him, and a raspberry belgian beer for me

– CUPCAKES!!

These pups are living the life! They live on a beautiful farm, complete with horses and acres of land to chase each other around. Plus, their momma is a chiropractor… but not just any chiropractor… she specializes in animal chiropractic. I find that so very interesting and am looking forward to returning to photograph Dr. Leah at work.

Dr. Leah just got a new puppy so she wanted to get some shots of the five, and especially capture her Stella, in that irresistibly sweet puppy phase. I’m so glad we scheduled the session when we did. Stella is at a stage where her ears are in the process of standing, but at the moment only one has made it upright. Ha. Look at this and tell me it doesn’t make you smile…

Today is only one short month away from the start of spring. And every year, to welcome spring, Rita’s Water Ice gives away free water ice. But this year will be different. Because this year Rita’s will not only have it’s standard flavors that we all know and love, it will be offering a brand new PEEPS Italian ice.   • Krista - Our Ritas will be open this weekend to train new employees! I’m going even if it’s FREEZING!!!

Lulu belle and Roxi are both standard poodles. But that’s about where their similarities end. Their personalities are as polar opposite as their colors. Lulu is sweet, gentle, and shy. And Roxi is the feisty, outgoing little sister. I love the dynamics.

Our session was scheduled for the weekend after a record-breaking snowfall. Dina *almost* rescheduled. I’m so glad she didn’t. We bundled up, trekked through about 2 feet of snow and icy trails, and when I saw this image on my computer… I knew it was all worth it…

I just love their puffball tails…
