This past weekend, I got to meet the winners of my Flaunt Your Rock contest… Leslie and Charles! We met up at the Philadelphia Art Museum and explored the area. They got engaged here, so I love that they’ll be able to look back on these photos taken in a place that has so much meaning to them. And of course, they brought along their pup, Jackson, who was a total ham for the camera. You won’t want to miss the photos coming up of him rocking a bowtie! Leslie wrote about the session and included some behind the scenes shots on her blog, And Her Little Dog Too

Look at this face…

  • Leslie - Love them all so far! Are you really going to make me wait to see all the others? I might not survive!! 🙂

  • Meredith Perdue - So cute! I kind of want Jackson though- adorable!

  • Lesley - Is it just me or is that Kristen Davis in that 3rd pic?

  • ashley folkema - Gorgeous! I am really loving that first picture! 🙂

  • Vida - I *love* the first picture and OMG their puppy is so cute! I want to cuddle with him!

  • Emily - Oh how I LOVE that first one – gorgeous!!!

They have a history. A history that began about 12 years ago in a high school gym class. High school sweethearts. But the timing didn’t yet work so they went their separate ways. They say you never quite forget your first love. Years later she contacted him and felt the same high school giddyness… She loves that he makes her laugh, and he adores her laugh. It works.

And while it was dental school that brought Dieter to Philadelphia… It was Dieter that brought Danielle here. They’re moving back home to Florida in less than a month, so they wanted to do their engagement session here; the first place where they first lived together and started planning a beautiful August wedding in Costa Rica.

There were too many fabulous shots to include below, so you have to check out their slideshow by clicking HERE!!

Seriously?!? Danielle… you are stunning!

They brought along a blanket from their high school… I love it when clients include meaningful things in their session!

Love. Just love…

I’ve already professed my love for Beantown Handmade. Now it’s your turn to benefit from my obsession. Anne, the amazing talent behind Beantown Handmade, has so generously offered to give away a custom hat to one lucky pup and their owner! Indeed, it is your lucky day. Click on the link above, take a look around, and let me know which item in the store you can see your pup strutting their stuff in. I decided on the Blue Baron hat for Lucy and Anne did a fabulous job with it, as always. Doesn’t she look so warm and snuggly and kind of Rastafarian? I love it. Also, you’ll see that Beantown Handmade now offers custom handpainted mugs in all dog breeds, just like the one that I posted about here and totally adore.

  • Leslie - I love the blue baron dog hat for Jackson! All the sweaters are so cute too! I am also obsessed with the bow tie too! I love it all!

I will post on my blog, Facebook and Twitter. 🙂

I hope I win! Great contest!

  • Kaitlin - How adorable!

My beagle would look absolutely great in the cotton candy crocheted collar. She has trouble with things on her body (let’s just say she’s not proportional…she’s a little tubbier than her counterparts!), but I think she’d definitely strut in that collar.
    HAHAHA.

  • Brittney - Oooooh! My mini-Dachshund, Clyde would love to add to his doggie wardrobe!

  • Kelli - These are SO ADORABLE, and Lucy looks so cute wearing her new hat! I have 2 Bostons Terriers that would look SO CUTE as well wearing these hats. My 3rd Boston Terrier recently passed and I am still grieving and trying to deal with the pain. We will be together again one day which will then be FOREVER!!!!!!!

  • kara schultz - Ack! Love these! I love all the floral dog collars!! Those are too adorable! I also sometimes dress the Belley up too…she really hates the squirrel costume, I just find it ironic.

  • ashley folkema - Oh my goodness these are just too cute! I can think of four pups who would just love to wear and be photographed in one of these!

  • Emily - Oh how cute, but honestly Rylie would never let us put a hat on her! They sure are adorable, though!! 🙂

  • Karen - I love all the crocheted hats! Adorable.

  • Janie - Too freaking cute!! I have been looking for something like this forever. My maddie’s ears get so cold in the winter and we are always trying to keep a hoodie on her but doesnt seem to work too well. This would be much better!! I can hardly stand all the cuteness….

  • Maggie - I love beantown handmade!!! Such adorable stuff <3

  • Mari - I love those hats. Henry, my Boston terrier, could use one in the winter!

  • Mari - Oops, that’s here: http://twitter.com/marisasano

  • Kellie Keen - That’s my Daughter and future Son-in-Law ….UNBELIEVABLE PICTURES!!!

  • SqueakDog Pet Photography - Anne makes SUCH cute things, and you did a wonderful job capturing her art. What dog doesn’t need an adorable hat like these?!!

Though it threatened to rain, the sun shined for Sara + Vince’s beautiful Sunday afternoon wedding. They got married at Bolingbroke Mansion in Radnor, in an intimate garden ceremony. The day could not have gone more perfectly. I was lucky to get to shoot with my friend and favorite travel buddy, Bernadette, of BU Photography and look forward to the weddings that we get to shoot together soon… I have to say, we make a pretty rad team. Congratulations Sara + Vince… I hope you had a fabulous time in Puerto Rico!

I loved all the details with the gerbera daisies and the way they matched the pink of Sara’s sash. Lovely.

Best part about an afternoon wedding = sneaking out of the reception for some stunning sunset light…

  • ashley folkema - Wow! Looks like it was a beautiful day! 🙂

  • Emily - Beautiful images, April!!

  • Kaitlin - I love the pink flowers and what a great capture in the second one (bride by herself)! She looks so incredibly happy, it’s contagious!

Riley curiously watched the flurry of activity as the bride prepared for her wedding day. She perched herself on the bed so she could get a good view of the action and avoid being underfoot. And she just watched…

Taken while shooting a wedding a few weeks ago with the wonderful Isabel March.
